Description

Victorian Glass Perfume Flask or Vial with Stopper, Tear Catcher, Lachrymatory. Condition is "Used". Decorative gold is worn.  No chips or cracks and stopper is intact.
In the 1820s, these vials were made to temporarily carry perfume home from the store, after which the perfume would be poured into the owner's perfume bottle.  Typically they were discarded. This one is 5 1/4" long, not counting the glass stopper.
