Powermatic 1200 drill press. This is a very large and heavy, 20" drill press with a 20"x22" production table. It is in perfect operational condition and has virtually no measurable runout over 0.001" (see linked video). It includes an AC Tech/Lenze US-made VFD which provides for variable speed in addition to the Reeves drive. This is a Morse Taper 3 (MT3) drill press. The Jacobs 14N ball bearing super chuck is really nice and smooth.
The motor is a dual speed Reuland Electric which is both 1.5HP and 0.75HP. I have it running at 900rpm with the 0.75HP motor windings and this provides for 105rpm - 1045rpm at the chuck. Of course you can slow it down further with the VFD.
Excellent working condition. The Reeves drive operates smooth and quiet. 6" of quill movement. All of the handles, knobs, etc. are present and accounted for.
I run this off 240v single phase from my dryer outlet. Included is a Hammond Electric, US-made transformer to get to 440v and this feeds the VFD which provides conversion to 3 phase for the 3 phase motor. I chose to go this route instead of replacing the motor for a 240v unit because 900rpm motors are hard to find and usually extremely expensive. I did spend a few hundred bucks each on both the transformer and the VFD.
